Rectangular Planter Box with Trellis, 50-Inch Tall for Climbing Plants
Grow up, not out — 34.7 inches of welded steel trellis on top of a 3 cu ft planter.
A raised metal planter box with a welded steel trellis. Fill it with soil, plant a climber, and in one season you have flowers at eye level — or a living screen that gives you back your privacy.
• Long, Low Profile – 35.43" long and 15.74" deep, it runs along a wall, railing, or fence — and lines up neatly with a second one for a longer screen.
• Adjustable Leveling Feet – Sits flat on uneven patios, decks, and stone, without rocking.
• 3 cu ft (86 L) of Soil – About three 1 cu ft bags of potting mix, deep enough for real vegetables, not just decorative pots.
• Fully Seam-Welded, Not Spot-Welded – The planter body and the trellis grid are welded steel, so vines have something solid to pull against.
• Punched, Then Phosphated – The drainage holes let excess water escape, and every hole is made before the steel is treated, so there are no bare metal edges inside to rust.
• Felt Liner Included – Holds soil in while letting air and water through, for healthier roots and no muddy runoff.
• Raised on Four Legs – The soil bed sits 15.7" off the ground, so planting and watering don't mean bending to floor level, and protective pads on all four feet keep your patio scratch-free.
• Rust-Resistant Powder-Coated Steel – Phosphated steel means we treat the frame, not just paint it. Built for indoor and outdoor use.
• Assembles in Minutes – Components and illustrated instructions included.
HOW MUCH SOIL DO I NEED?
3 cubic feet — about three 1 cu ft bags of potting mix, or one and a half 2 cu ft bales. Fill to 1–2" below the rim so water doesn't run over the edge.
WHAT TO GROW IN IT
Climbers: morning glory, sweet pea, nasturtium, black-eyed Susan vine, climbing petunia
Vegetables: bush tomatoes, peppers, bush beans, cucumbers, lettuce, herbs
Flowers: petunias, geraniums, marigolds, pansies, ferns, ivy
11" of soil depth suits annual climbers and shallow-rooted vegetables best. For long-term perennials with deep roots, this planter works as a start — expect to move them into open ground after a year or two.
INDOOR TIP
Outdoors, fill it with soil and plant directly. Indoors, use it with a pre-potted plant and a saucer — no soil, no mess, no gnats.
